Family home and childhood

Krzysztof Kolberger was born on August 13, 1950 in Gdansk. He spent his entire childhood living with his parents and sister in a storey house at Karlowicz street. His mother worked in the Press House leading the journalist's club while father was staying in Warsaw working as a communication engineer.

He used to go to High School no. 9 at Wilk Krzyżanowski street where he created the "Syfon" cabaret. Even after graduating he often met his high school mates i.a Marek Bublis, Donat Paliszewski and Hanna Konczakowska-Makulec. Later they came up with the idea of giving the name of Krzysztof Kolberger to the square at Karlowicz st.

After he had finished his studies, his mother decided to move from Gdansk to Warsaw to live closer to her husband and son. They switched flats with Mr and Mrs Ostrowski but later he used to visit his family house many times with friends or his daughter.
